Hive Cell

The case the Spark should have come in: a faceted hexagonal cell held together by gold butterfly keys — the woodworker’s bowtie joint, printed — with hidden brass clamps pulling every seam closed from the inside. Joinery you see, brass you don’t. The bay rides high: below it, a garage swallows the power brick AND a 120 mm fan side by side through a rear door — one cord enters the hex, nothing else shows. The fan pushes up: positive pressure, intake filtered through the bottom honeycomb, exhaust out the top lattice into the open gutters the chamfered facets form between stacked cells — the hex shape is the exhaust manifold. Inside is a full 10-inch 2U bay with brass-threaded EIA holes in the face: the Spark mounts flush in its own tray, and any OAra panel fits the same cell. Buy one as a case; butterfly the next one on when you buy your next node. In active design — the geometry below is our current revision.

Four quarter-shells butterfly together — waist and center seams — and the gold nameplate tile locks the front joint; cells butterfly to each other across shared facets — one gold mechanism for everything. The basement does the dirty work: brick and fan slide in through the rear door, air pushes up filtered, and the chamfer gutters between stacked cells carry the exhaust out. One machine per cell; the hive grows with the cluster.
